Cars and Faces
When we look at human faces we automatically extract information about sex, age, and emotions. This same process is also applied to artificial structures, such as cars.
| Automotive features and proportions co vary with trait
perception in a manner similar to that found for human faces. For
example, car fronts can communicate juvenility or dominance.
Mathematical methods enable description of facial information perceived
in car fronts, opening new horizons for the study of evolutionary-based
emotional design. |
