Project: The sexy voice - Fluctuating asymmetry and voice quality
The discussion led presently in the evolutionary psychology to the connection by attractiveness and symmetry, average and sex specific not-average physical characteristics are supposed to be transferred to the domain of the acoustic communication. The present study investigates the interrelation of voices and faces with regards to the attribution of attractiveness. The aim is to determine whether development-dependent deviations of bilateral symmetry can change the voice signal and whether these deviations can affect the voice signal. Furthermore, the study aims to examine how sex-specific not-average physical characteristics can influence the voice signal.
